    Caramel Mug cake - caramel upside cake in the microwave!

    Here’s what you’ll need to make caramel mug cake:

    • flour
    • sugar
    • butter
    • vanilla
    • baking powder
    • milk

    Bequet Caramels

    Caramel Microwaveable Mug Cake in 4 Easy Steps:

    1. Add two unwrapped caramel pieces, ½ tablespoon butter, and 1 teaspoon milk to a microwave safe mug. Microwave for 10-20 seconds until fluid.
    2. In a separate bowl, make the cake by combining the rest of the ingredients.
    3. Pour the cake over the liquid caramel.
    4. Microwave for 90 seconds, making sure to watch that the cake does not flow over.

    Hint: Microwave the cake in 30 second intervals so you don't overflow you mug. Enjoy the delicious caramel mug cake!

    Equipment - you don't need much!

    Make sure you have a mug that is big enough so the cake doesn't overflow in the microwave! I used a 16 ounce glass mug.

    An easy caramel upside down microwaveable mug cake that’s the fastest way to make dessert for one! A few ingredients is all you need.

    Equipment

    • 1 microwaveable safe mug at least 16 ounces
    • small bowl

    Ingredients
      

    Caramel

    • 2 pieces unwrapped Bequet caramels
    • ½ teaspoon butter
    • 1 teaspoon milk

    Cake

    • 6 Tbs flour 47 grams
    • 3 Tbs white sugar 38 grams
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • 2 Tbs butter, melted
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla
    • 2 Tbs milk

    Instructions
     

    Melt Caramel

    • Melt caramel with ½ teaspoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of milk. This should take around 20 seconds in the microwave. Stir until fluid.
    • In a separate bowl, combine ingredients for the cake.
    • Pour cake over melted caramel.
    • Microwave for 90 seconds until no more wet batter is observed. Make sure you watch this so the batter doesn't spill over. I microwaved mine in 3, 30 second intervals.
