This gingerbread latte pour overs recipe makes four gingerbread meltables. They are the cutest little gingerbread latte people around! I love making these to give as gifts and they've always been a great seller. Below you'll find the exact ingredients and packaging I use. I'm a huge gingerbread fan around the holidays and love gifting these along with my gingerbread caramels.
Ingredients - gingerbread latte pour overs
- white confectionery coating
- I prefer the hobby lobby brand. Stay away from the Wilton brand, it is too thick and waxy. White chocolate may also be used but do not use white chocolate baking chips / baking bar.
- instant dark roast coffee
- It must be instant, and must be dark roast. The darker the better. The confectionery coating adds a lot of sweetness to it and the dark roast balances it out. I use NesCafe and you can find it here on Amazon.
- gingerbread spice blend
- I purchase this from Amazon but you could also blend your own
- cinnamon
Equipment - gingerbread latte pour overs
- microwaveable safe large bowl
- spatula
- tablespoon measure
- ¾ teaspoon measure
- food scale
THE MOLDS
These molds are a hot item and I've sold them out three times on Amazon. The exact molds I use are VERY HARD to come by, but I spent the better part of this year searching. I finally found a gingerbread man and gingerbread women in stock at a small business based out of Chicago. Please consider ordering from them. The owner, Nancy, has owned her business for 40+ years and is incredibly kind.
- gingerbread man silicone molds
- Gingerbread man silicone mold (Amazon)*If this mold is sold out, a few other options are below. Please remember that if the mold is smaller, you may end up with a slightly thicker piece of candy.

Other mold options:
Packaging & Labels
- 8x6 cello bags
- twist tie ribbons
- Avery 2x4 inch labels
- These are placed on the bag of the bag with instructions for how to make the latte.
- Instructions I use:
- 1. Add gingerbread person to a wide mouth mug.
- 2. Pour 12-16 ounces of very hot milk over.
- 3. Stir to combine. Enjoy!
- Contains caffeine.
- branded hang tags
- A small 1 x 1" square with my logo on the front and QR code for customers to scan that takes them to my Instagram page. I had these made at Uprinting.com

THE RECIPE
Gingerbread Latte Pourovers
Equipment
- microwaveable glass bowl
- microwave
- ¾ teaspoon
- tablespoon
- gingerbread man molds
Ingredients
- 12 ounces white confectionery coating
- 4 tablespoon instant dark roast coffee
- 1 tablespoon gingerbread spice blend
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Microwave white confectionery coating until fluid.
- Add in instant coffee, gingerbread spice blend, and cinnamon.
- Blend until very well combined.
- Add 85 grams of mix into each gingerbread man mold. This makes exactly four.

- Remove from molds and wrap.

These were awesome! I had so much fun making & giving them last Christmas & look forward to making them again. Could you switch out pumpkin spice blend for the gingerbread spice blend & make pumpkin spice latte pour overs for fall?
Hannah
Yes, absolutely! You could really do any spice blend you'd like. Someone told me they did a peppermint dark chocolate mocha that turned out great.
paula Hylbak
can you buy gingerbread spice mix or is it don't you mix
Hannah
I purchased mine on Amazon but you can also blend it yourself. There's some good measurements if you google "gingerbread spice blend recipe"

What exactly is white confectionery coating? I’m not seeing it on the Hobby Lobby website.
Hannah
White confectionery coating is the white round wafers you can melt in the microwave. The hobby lobby brand is make n melt, but you can also use almond bark or the Ghirardelli white candy wafers. Wilton makes some too but they are hard to use. I believe the hobby lobby website is down today so it's been difficult to search.
