Melt caramel with ½ teaspoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of milk. This should take around 20 seconds in the microwave. Stir until fluid.
In a separate bowl, combine ingredients for the cake.
Pour cake over melted caramel.
Microwave for 90 seconds until no more wet batter is observed. Make sure you watch this so the batter doesn't spill over. I microwaved mine in 3, 30 second intervals.
